Tech Specs: Next Instruments CropScan 3000H is a near-infrared analyzer that measures protein, moisture and oil in grains and oil seeds as the grain is stripped in a combine harvester. The system provides real-time protein paddock maps that enable a user to segregate grain based on protein and oil in order to optimize payments. The protein paddock maps can be used in variable-rate fertilization for nitrogen. The system includes Internet connection whereby data can be viewed remotely using a smart phone, iPad or PC.
