Delta Force

DeltaForce

Tech Specs: In every foot on every pass, in each individual row, the system monitors row unit weight and ground contact, then instantly and automatically adjusts to maintain the depth set by the operator. It is available for most John Deere, Case IH, Kinze and select White planter models. The system works with 20/20 SeedSense and replaces the springs or air bags on the planter. Also includes hydraulic cylinders harnessed to the cab, plus a weight pin that sends data to SeedSense which controls the cylinders and down force.

WOW Factor: Replaces the springs or air bags on the planter with hydraulic cylinders. It automatically increases or reduces weight with military precision, on each row individually. When one row encounters conditions different than another (wheel tracks, old road beds, clay knobs, headlands, etc.), each will adjust independently. Row by row, foot by foot, depth stays exactly where the operators wants it and produces an environment that fosters uniform germination, optimum growth and maximum yield.

Dawn Equipment

Rfx Electro-Hydraulic Planter Row Unit Down Force

Tech Specs: Dawn Equipment’s Rfx actuator is a compact and rugged hydraulic cylinder with integral hydraulic valve and accumulator. Planter row unit ride quality is of fundamental importance in order to maintain consistent seed depth. The damping capabilities of the integral accumulator significantly improves row unit ride, while also serving as an energy storage device. The device requires much less hydraulic flow, as energy is stored locally in the accumulator, and can be immediately returned to the cylinder, rather than moving through the full hydraulic circuit each time the parallel links move up and down. The system also requires very little power and even on a 54 row planter, only draws around 13-20 amps at 12 volts. The MiFx control system features planter row unit mounted micro-controllers that communicate with a simple in-cab interface, and allow farmers to monitor and adjust down force settings.

WOW Factor: Now offered through John Deere as a factory option. It may be controlled and monitored using the 2630 display. Alternatively, it can be retrofit to a farmer’s existing Deere or Kinze planter using the MiFx row controllers and in-cab interface. The modular Rfx system gives farmers more options for customization on planters with irregular features or spacings that may otherwise limit the operator’s ability to install fitted harnesses and hose routings.
