Topcon Precision Agriculture (TPA) has given away two separate precision farming systems to farmers who signed up for the giveaway contest at recent farm shows.

Topcon awarded a System 150 to Kelly Forck who farms corn and soybeans in the Jefferson City, Missouri area. They also awarded Mike Bumpus, an Illinois farmer, with a System 350 autosteering and machine control system. Bumpus farms corn, soybeans, wheat, milo and sweet corn in West Union, Illinois and registered for the system at an agricultural show.

The GNSS precision farming systems were presented to Forck and Bumpus by Justin Jones, TPA regional sales manager, and Derek Strunk, ag products technology manager for Topcon’s Illinois dealer Altorfer Agricultural Equipment.

Strunk said, “Altorfer Ag Technology Department is honored to be involved in this giveaway with Topcon. We look forward to working with Mike and Kelly to make the most of each system.”

Attendees of MAGIE, Farm Progress Show and Husker Harvest days in 2012, and AgConnect Expo, World Ag Expo, National Farm Machinery Show and Commodity Classic in 2013 were encouraged to enter the contest. Winner’s names were determined in March following Commodity Classic in Orlando, Florida.
