“Mixed fleets are real and possible. We see a future where we can combine those mixed fleets with a portion of our equipment portfolio. This is what we develop more and more every year to give the farmer much more flexibility to make his choice.” — Andreas Reichhardt, founder of Reichhardt Electronic Innovations
Reichhardt Electronic Innovations aims to make farming easier using technology. The company is celebrating 15 years of pioneering precision agriculture in North America.
Founder Andreas Reichhardt began working on precision products to make farming easier in 1985, and he went onto develop the PSR steering system, one of the first retrofit auto steering systems, in 1998.
In the years that followed, Reichhardt continued to expand its retrofit and OEM precision products, including through the establishment of a North American subsidiary in 2006. The company believes optimizing profits and resources starts in the cab, and networking implements and vehicles for precise applications is the future of agriculture.
In this episode of the Precision Farming Dealer podcast, Andreas and Jayme Paquin, general manager of Reichhardt Electronic Innovations, discuss the past and future of precision agriculture, recent trends in the market and their predictions for the biggest opportunities for dealers in the next 24 months.
