Farmers are increasingly creating most of their planting/harvesting strategy with data-driven decisions that rely on sophisticated business platforms that collect data to analyze and make educated and informed decisions.
Corn & Soy Solutions Architect Grant Wonderlich explains how John Deere's new ExactShot system works alongside ExactEmerge to improve fertilizer placement on each seed while planting. With exact timing and placement, ExactShot is able to dose each individual seed with starter fertilizer as it is placed, saving on overall fertilizer use compared to continuous in-furrow application. This saves on both time re-filling the fertilizer as well as using less fertilizer overall further reducing input costs.
