USDA's crop progress report for the week ended Oct. 10 reported 94% of corn crops mature, above the 93% reported mature in the same week last year.

USDA reported 41% of corn crops harvested, above the 39% reported harvested by this time in 2020. The 5-year average for corn harvested in this week is 31%.

Around 45% of corn crops were reported in "good" condition, with another 15% in "excellent" condition and 25% in "fair condition."

Some 91% of soybean crops were reportedly dropping leaves, below the 92% reported dropping leaves in the same week last year. The 5-year average for soybeans dropping leaves in this week was 89%.

USDA reported 49% of soybeans harvested in the week, below the 58% reported in the same week last year. The 5-year average for soybeans harvested is 40%.

Some 46% of soybean crops were reported in "good" condition, with another 13% in "excellent" condition and 27% in "fair condition."
