Study Shows Farmers Value Relationships with Dealers

This podcast from Brownfield highlights a new study from Purdue Univ. showing that farmers value relationships with their ag equipment dealers as they continue to build out their operations. “It’s been a fairly consistent response over time showing that those individual relationships remain a very important factor in the buying behavior of farmers,” says Scott Downey from Purdue. “Out of all of the things that we measure, this has been the most stable.”

With harvest wrapping up, many dealers are turning their attention to winter service programs and customer clinics. Precision Ag University Lab Launches DroneDock

Precision ag specialist Luan Oliveira spearheaded the development of a precision ag program at the Univ. of Georgia Extension, and today his team works with farms of all sizes to develop, research and implement precision ag tools. Using robotics and AI, his lab has worked with weeding and spraying robots and recently launched the award-winning Drone Dock, a refueling and reloading station designed for large spray drones that can cover several acres in a day.

Does Precision Technology Help Sell Tractors?

Karen Jones addresses the above question in this Successful Farming article, featuring insights from Nathan Faleide and 2026 Precision Farming Dealer Summit speaker Pete Youngblut. “If the machine is right for you in all the other ways but you want a certain system inside it, you have to figure out how to make that work. I’m seeing that if there are two identical tractors, but one has the buyer’s preferred technology, that tractor will sell for more money,” Faleide says.
