Ag Leader Technology has introduced a new application programming interface (API) that enables third-party camera sensor providers to integrate with RightSpot, Ag Leader’s pulse width modulation (PWM) rate control system. The new API gives farmers and dealers greater flexibility in addressing challenging weed control issues by allowing them freedom to choose from a select group of camera sensors that will interface with Ag Leader’s trusted application system.
“Farmers are looking for solutions that help maximize every spray pass while reducing input costs and improving herbicide effectiveness,” said John Howard, Crop Care Product Manager at Ag Leader. “By opening the RightSpot platform to compatible camera sensor technologies, Ag Leader is making it easier for customers to adopt the technology that best fits their operation without sacrificing the precision, accuracy, and reliability of their application system.”
RightSpot delivers consistent pressure and droplet size across varying speeds while maintaining precise rate control, all through a simple retrofit to the farmer’s existing sprayer. When paired with compatible camera sensors through the new API, farmers can take advantage of selective spray applications designed to reduce input costs, improve efficiency, and make every acre more productive.

Ag Leader is currently working with two camera sensor companies, PerPlant and Agtecnic, that have implemented the selective spray API. These strategic collaborations reflect Ag Leader’s commitment to working with partners that align with its approach to delivering practical, reliable technology solutions for farmers.
