HIAWATHA, Kan. — AgJunction Inc., a provider of hardware and software solutions for precision agriculture, has purchased the business assets, software, hardware, intellectual property and manufacturing rights of the GAC2 controller product from long term AgJunction supply partner, Forkworks.
AgJunction incorporates GAC2 into the Outback Guidance brand and markets the controller as AC110, an existing technology that allows AgJunction to interface its section and rate control into a wide variety of implements throughout the precision agriculture marketplace.
“Adding the GAC2 controller to our in-house technology portfolio enables us to expand our machine control offerings to reach a wider range of customers and markets,” said Joshua Gattis, director of application control for AgJunction.
While specific terms of the transaction were not disclosed, included in the agreement is a technology license that will enable both companies to continue to develop and sell into their respective markets.
