According to the most recent USDA crop progress report, 96% of soybeans have emerged as of the week ended June 27, 2021, above the 94% reported emerged in the same week last year. The 5-year average for soybean emergence in this week was 92%.
The report stated 14% of soybeans were reported blooming in the same week, above the 13% reported blooming in the same week last year. The 5-year average for soybean blooming in this week was 11%
Some 50% of soybean crops were reported in "good" condition, with another 10% in "excellent" condition and 31% in "fair condition."
Some 4% of corn crops were reported silking, in line with the 4% reported silking in the same week last year. The 5-year average for corn silking in the week was 6%.
Around 51% of corn crops were reported in "good" condition, with another 13% in "excellent" condition and 28% in "fair condition."
