Midwest City Home to Precision Ag Boom
Here’s an interesting read from St. Louis Magazine about the plethora of ag tech startups breaking through in the city. Among them is TerraBlaster, led by CEO Jorge Heraud. The company is developing a device that provides real-time data about soil composition. “Farmers are super interested in being more efficient and more conscious about profit,” he says. “Part of our value proposition is that we can help the profitability of a farmer. It’s an investment not an expenditure.”

Dealer Sues Monarch Tractor for ‘Breach of Contract’
This episode of On the Record takes a look at a recent lawsuit between Case IH dealer Burks Tractor and Monarch Tractor. The dealership claims the 10 tractors it purchased via interest-bearing financing for nearly $800,000 are defective and did not live up to the driver-optional, or autonomous, claims of the company, according to a report from TechCrunch.
