AI, Precision Hot Topics at Claas Headquarters Grand Opening
Claas opened its $10 million, 45,000 square foot research and development facility at its North American headquarters in Omaha, Neb., last week. In this interview with Brownfield Ag News, Claas Group CEO Jan Hendrik Mohr discusses the role AI will play in the next era of precision technology.

Farm With No Cell Signal Becomes a Tech Test Bed
In this episode of the Rural E Podcast, Nate Gray of MeshComm Engineering walks through what it actually takes to collect trustworthy data in rural dead zones — and what changes now that Starlink, direct-to-device satellite, and edge AI are showing up on the farm.
Spray Drone Market ‘Very Much in Flux’
Sales of new spray drones in the U.S. fell by 60% in 2025, according to this AgFunder News article, largely thanks to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) blocks on some DJI shipments. “We went from 8,950 spray drones sold in 2024 to 3,711 in 2025,” says Eric Ringer, president, American Spray Drone Coalition (ASDC). “That was not because of a lack of demand. That was because of a lack of supply. I think a lot of us had hoped that U.S. manufacturers would be able to pick up more of the slack, but it doesn’t show in the 2025 data. In 2026, we may see a greater increase, but I’ll hold off on commentary on that until I see the data (which the ASDC is currently collecting).”
NASA Highlights Satellite Tech at Strip-Till Innovator’s Farm
NASA scientists stopped by Ray Flickner’s farm in late August to check in on the progress of a partnership that is helping shape the future of space-based tools for agriculture. The event — part of NASA’s “Space for Ag Tour” — brought together researchers, farmers, extension specialists, policymakers and NASA scientists to explore how satellite data can help farmers manage water, improve crop health and plan for long-term sustainability.
Connectivity Propels Frenchman Valley to Precision Success
John Deere dealer 21st Century Equipment shared this video on LinkedIn showcasing how JDLink Boost is helping everyone at Frenchman Valley Produce stay connected in the field.
