Farmers Edge had sued Farmobile, along with its founders Jason Tatge, Farmobile CEO, Heath Gerlock and Randy Nuss, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska for breach of explicit or implicit contract, breach of duty of loyalty and misappropriated trade secrets.

In the Canadian lawsuit, Farmobile seeks over $20 million CAD in damages and an injunction prohibiting Farmers Edge from using the infringing technologies.

The new tool combines sophisticated weather detection and forecasting, Daily Satellite Imagery, and industry-leading AI technology to automate claim detection and simplify claims management, paving the way for future risk management products.

Farmers Edge announced a major upgrade of its digital platform, FarmCommand, sporting a new user experience that makes it simpler to use and easier to manage critical farm information. By the end of 2021, the companies will integrate their digital platforms to provide their growers and dealer networks with a first-of-its-kind, fully connected crop management solution. The expanded partnership will also focus on a collaboration in data science, machine learning, and AI-driven analytics to deliver highly precise water-based insights and predictive models.

Last week, CNH and Farmers Edge, a Canadian-based decision ag developer, announced an exclusive strategic partnership to expand data management and agronomic solutions for Case IH and New Holland dealers. The agreement gives dealers access to the Farmers Edge FarmCommand platform.
