A Canadian agricultural technology company, Brilliant Harvest has been recognized for its innovative software platform. The company, led by industry veteran CEO Remi Schmaltz, was one of “10 Homegrown Calgary Startups to Watch identified by Calgary Tech, a media outlet which provides real-time reporting and analysis of emerging technology news in Calgary and throughout Alberta.
“With its focus on efficiency and innovation, Brilliant Harvest is poised to play a significant role in modernizing the agricultural industry, making it a startup to watch in 2025,” according to the news summary authored by Robert Lewis. The report commended the company for transforming agricultural equipment dealerships with its AI-powered platform. The platform provides equipment dealers with a dealer-branded mobile app that simplifies purchasing, repairs, and overall customer experience. Since starting the business in early 2024, the company has locked in Canada’s largest ag equipment dealer, Rocky Mountain Equipment, with whom it is reported to be implementing the solution across 43 stores.
Schmaltz and his team, including Leah Olson, attended the Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) Summit in Orlando, Fl. last week, and presented during the Precision Farming Dealer Summit (PFDS 2025) hosted by Lessiter Media in early January.
According to Calgary Tech’s Lewis, the job market in Calgary has expanded by over 78% in the past five years, outpacing other Canadian cities and establishing Calgary as a significant player in North America’s innovation landscape.
