While North American retailers forecast another challenging year for new equipment sales, technology sales are projected to rebound at a quicker pace, according to Ag Equipment Intelligence's 2016 Dealer Business Outlook & Trends report.

Reuters reports Monsanto executives are seeking to reposition the company as a business built on data science and services, as well as its traditional chemicals, seeds and genetic traits operations.

AGCO announced that it has entered into an agreement with Precision Planting to introduce factory integration of select Precision Planting technology to AGCO's White Planters line.

The technology builds off of the company's vDrive electric metering system to accommodate application of insecticide at higher speeds. Using standard insecticide hoppers, the electric system can more accurately measure and place insecticide as farmers move through the field.
