Farmers Use Drones to Gather Transpiration Data, Boost Yields

Drones are “measuring sweat from the sky” for growers in Australia. This article covers a trial of drone technology in Bundaberg, Queensland, which is using thermal imagery to calculate how much water trees are losing through transpiration. “We can identify where the problems are in the orchards with water issues & blockages, just by using the drones,” says drone pilot Jamin Fleming.
