Why Many Farmers Aren’t Sold on AI in Agriculture Yet
The Conversation research team interviewed more than 35 farmers in Australia about cutting-edge precision technology, including AI and autonomy, and found that many of them aren’t sold on AI...at least yet. “AI may well become a much-loved tool for farmers. But that journey to iconic status will depend as much on how farmers adapt the technology as on how the developers build it. And we can guess at what it will look like: simple, adaptable and reliable.”
Is Your Dealership Prepared for Autonomy?

Diving into the 2025 Purdue Precision Survey Data
It’s time once again to unpack results from the CropLife/Purdue Precision Survey — the longest-running continuous study of precision farming adoption, conducted at least every other year since 1996. Bruce Erickson and James Lowenberg-DeBoer dive into some of the data in this article.
AEM VP: Be Agile in Uncertain Times
Curt Blades, AEM senior VP, shares some key takeaways from his experience at the Sherwin-Williams Innovation Days. Despite all the challenges facing the farm equipment industry, Blades says he’s optimistic about the future of precision ag and the rising need for data. “Most farms are family-owned, passed down through generations of people that have learned every detail of the land,” Blades says. “Now, that institutional knowledge is quickly being replaced by data. This is not only changing the way that farms are owned and operated, but it’s also creating a critical need for data – and the machines that capture the data.”
