The Equipment Dealers Foundation (EDF), the charitable arm of the North American Equipment Dealers Assn. is prepared to assist dealership employees who may have been impacted by the recent disastrous flooding in Texas. NAEDA’s foundation created the disaster relief program following the devastation from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
Since then, EDF has provided grants to equipment dealers and their employees in disaster areas for losses not covered by insurance and property damaged or destroyed.
The fund is designed to help offset some of the financial demands faced by those affected by the disaster. Grants from the fund may be used for food, living expenses, temporary accommodation, home repair, home replacement, permanent home construction, transportation accommodation, and other approved needs.
EDF shared:
Since its inception over $350,000 in disaster relief grants have been awarded to 162 dealership employees impacted by natural disasters. These numbers are increasing as we speak. EDF’s Disaster Relief funds are limited, and initial consideration is given to members of the Equipment Dealers Assn.
Now is where equipment dealers and industry partners can help. In order for EDF to assist when disaster strikes again, and it will, we need your continued support. Donations can be made to: Equipment Dealers Foundation, 10100 N Ambassador Drive, Ste 310, Kansas City, MO 64153 or via our website.
