Ohio State precision ag expert John Fulton shared his thoughts and observations on the state of ag drones in this LinkedIn post. “Not long ago, ag drones were viewed as a niche tool. Today, the latest drone sprayers are larger, more capable and able to cover a significant number of acres per hour. The speed of innovation in this space is remarkable, and it feels like capabilities are expanding with every new generation of equipment,” Fulton says. “The question is: Where will this technology be just 12 months from now? That is part of our work on projecting the drone spraying business over the next 5 years here in the Eastern Corn Belt.”
