New AI Tool Helping Farmers ‘Think Outside the Box’

Beck’s new AI tool SeedIQ allows growers to hyper-focus on root architecture, silk timing and more, according to this Brownfield Ag News report. Meghan Grebner goes 1-on-1 with Jim Schwartz, director of research agronomy for Beck’s Practical Farm Research (PFR), for more on the new tool. “In hybrid management today, we’re kind of feeling through the dark,” he says. “Now, instead of not understanding why something happened, if I can explain it to you, it’s okay to apply that fungicide early in the year, but now let me match that hybrid. Now I’ve de-risked that decision.”
