Topcon Precision Agriculture (TPA) announces the release of a new color touch-screen console, with 8-inch display, designed for productivity and ease-of-use. The X25 offers full-featured precision machine control and high-accuracy auto-steering in a smaller package for the price-conscious farmer seeking to increase machine automation while lowering input costs.

“The X25 utilizes a next generation processor platform while leveraging the same core Horizon software from our industry-leading X30 display,” said Kevin Cobb, TPA director of product planning. “The same intuitive user interface with drag and drop menus, configurable mini views, dashboard and ISO compatibility result in a very competitive solution from Topcon.”

The X25 offers year-round precision tools in a single package designed to eliminate cab clutter; including guidance, auto-steering, planter and seeder control, application control, and mapping.

“X25 provides a full range of steering patterns including AB line, identical curve, pivot, and controlled traffic. It also offers one of the most sought-after Topcon features, GuideLock,” said Cobb.

Working modes include Topcon ASC-10 based section control (up to 30 sections), ISO-based section control (up to 32 sections), spinner/spreader control, sprayer control, straight rate and variable rate product control, row crop planter interface, and compatibility with boom leveling via ISO.

Mapping and documentation includes PDF job reports, as-applied data, ISO TaskData, HD prescription mapping support, import/export .shp file, import/export ISOXML and compatibility with Topcon SGIS data management software.

“With the introduction of the X25, Topcon now offers a ‘family’ of user-friendly X consoles that provide more choices in precision, allowing customers to make better production decisions. The Topcon X Family is modular in design and runs on Topcon Horizon software, allowing a mix and match of consoles across one operation. The X25 provides the ideal second display, or it is powerful enough to serve as the economical hub of a precision farming operation,” said Cobb.

“Topcon Horizon software provides the new X25 with an intuitive, easy-to-use interface designed specifically for agriculture,” said Harlan Little, TPA product planning manager. “Horizon software brings a modular design that enables all of our control platforms from auto steering and guidance, crop input controls and water conservation, to farm information services. Horizon lets customers buy what they value while offering the connectivity for future growth or upgrade path.”
