Purdue Studies Precision Ag Impacts on 570 Farms in 21-Year Period
Purdue University breaks down the top takeaways from a study that examined farm records from 570 Kansas farms through a 21-year period to measure how precision tech affects efficiency. Automated guidance, yield monitors and grid soil sampling paid off in most operations. But the biggest takeaway is that precision ag boosted efficiency the most on farms that had the largest room for improvement. “Precision ag helps close management gaps that better-run operations have already addressed through experience and strong management practices.”
