For the third year in a row, U.S. dealers are forecasting fewer additions to their precision farming departments, according to Ag Equipment Intelligence’s 2017 Dealer Business Outlook & Trends report.

At the pinnacle of the precision farming boom, technology specialists were in high demand, while supply was relatively low. But as the farm machinery market has slowed, so too have precision hiring plans for most OEM dealers according to Ag Equipment Intelligence’s 2016 Dealer Business Outlook & Trends report.

Seeking to provide an OEM steering solution for legacy equipment, Case IH introduced its AFS ElectriSteer assisted steering solution. Ryan Blasiak explains that the system is available for more than 700 vehicle makes/models equipped with an AFS Pro 300 or 700 display and is transferrable between vehicles and snaps on to an existing steering wheel.

Customers who purchase a new Axial-Flow combine, Steiger tractor or Magnum tractor by April 30, 2016, will be eligible for a free 1-year subscription to the AFS Connect farm management system, including hardware installation.
