Kicking off #Plant25 in Autonomous Fashion
Only 2% of soybeans have been planted in Iowa according to the latest USDA Crop Progress Report. The Salin 247 autonomous planter was ahead of the curve, hitting the field for early soybean planting on April 12, as part of an on-farm trial in Boone County.
Are You Investing Enough in Your Precision Salespeople?
The average ag company invested less than $780 per sales employee on development last year, according to David Dam, which is over $400 less than in 2022. Dam says these companies need to invest exponentially more in training and development. “Your customers are more complex, the competition is not going away, and burying your head in the sand, ignoring the lack of skills your sales team has is not the answer! Your biggest threat going into 2025 is the mediocre version of YOUR TEAM that you’ve accepted as good enough. It’s not good enough and you’re paying for it dearly,” Dam says in this LinkedIn post.
What’s Next for Precision Spraying Technology?
Nebraska Farmer’s Elizabeth Hodges highlights some of the top benefits farmers are seeing from precision spraying technology, and catches up with Greeneye Technology CEO Nadav Bocher for a look at what’s next for the company.
Will These Robots Replace Tractors?
Ontario farmer Woody Van Arkel shared this video of an AgroIntelli Robotti in action. It’s a diesel-powered, autonomous tool capable of covering 50 acres a day and running for 60 hours on a single tank. Van Arkel poses the question, “A hundred years ago tractors began to replace horses. Is this going to replace tractors?”
