Dealers gathered for a 60-minute roundtable discussion to share some of their top precision revenue opportunities. "Drones are one of the fastest growing segments in application and agriculture. There are massive revenue opportunities with sales and repair."
60% of dealers expect their precision sales to go up at least 2-7% this year according to the 2025 Precision Farming Dealer Benchmark Study. Spud Armstrong, precision specialist for New Holland Rochester, shared his sales outlook at the Precision Farming Dealer Summit earlier this month.
“The sales strategy with precision agriculture moved from just being able to provide an ROI on paper to more of a consultive sales style," says Jake Ridenour of PTx Trimble. "You’re going to a farm and looking at their entire operation to provide a more holistic solution instead of focusing on an individual product.”
Since starting the business in early 2024, the company has locked in Canada’s largest ag equipment dealer, Rocky Mountain Equipment, with whom it is reported to be implementing the solution across 43 stores.
I tagged along with the precision crew at John Deere dealer Riesterer and Schnell in eastern Wisconsin last week. Among the several takeaways from the visit, they told me there’s one precision tool in particular that’s really paying off for farmers right now.
