Matt Barling, Central Illinois Ag (Atlanta, Ill.)
Matt has been one of the most important people at the dealership for many years. He is the absolute go-to person when it comes to electrical diagnostics, GPS systems and when we have a special situation with technology, he is the resource the dealership, Case IH and many farmers rely on.
Matt has worked many late nights, weekends and offseasons to make sure that we all have what we need when it's time to plant or harvest. Most recently, we had a customer convert his fleet over to Case IH and we sold him planters without markers. This customer needed all new boundaries, GPS lines and all this data converted from JD Ops Center to Case IH Field-Ops. Matt was able to complete this task and train the operators to make this transition as smooth as possible. We had to set up boundaries for seed corn planting on center pivot irrigation, strip-till fertilizer application and work with other data management systems to make sure that everything worked like we planned.
One Sunday afternoon, we had been given a seed corn map shape file that was created wrong and the planter would not plant the intended area. Matt was able to open the shape file from home, convert the map, upload it to Case IH Field-Ops and send it over the cloud to the monitor. The customer was able to export the file to the 20/20 monitor and complete the field before the next rain. Without Matt's expertise and willingness to go above and beyond for everyone, we would not be successful with many of our customers’ technology needs.
Central Illinois Ag and every customer that Matt works with would like to extend a huge thank you!!!
