Bill Hushon, Atlantic Tractor (Whiteford, Md.)

For the past 50 years, Bill Hushon has been a dedicated servant to the agricultural community across Maryland and Pennsylvania through Atlantic Tractor. For 25 of those years, he has been the driving force behind the company’s Precision Agriculture Specialist role, earning the trust and respect of farmers, coworkers, and industry partners alike.
 
Bill is the person everyone knows they can call — anytime, day or night — when they need help. His commitment to supporting customers is unmatched. It is not uncommon to find Bill on a farm long before sunrise or long after sunset, doing whatever it takes to keep his customers operating. He approaches every challenge with determination, combining exceptional technical expertise with outstanding problem-solving skills. Whether troubleshooting a complex precision agriculture issue or answering a simple question, Bill treats every situation with the same level of urgency and professionalism. More importantly, he always follows up to ensure every issue has been fully resolved, and every customer is taken care of.
 
What truly sets Bill apart is his unwavering dedication. His commitment extends far beyond his profession — it is evident in every aspect of his life. He is deeply devoted to his customers, his coworkers, his family, and his community. Outside of work, Bill and his brothers help care for and operate their family’s farm alongside their 96-year-old father, raising corn, soybeans, and wheat. After spending a full day supporting farmers across the region, Bill returns home to ensure everything is prepared for the next day’s planting, harvesting, or other farm operations. His work ethic and willingness to serve others never stop.
 
Bill embodies everything a Precision Agriculture Specialist should be — knowledgeable, dependable, humble, hardworking and genuinely committed to helping others succeed. His decades of service, exceptional technical expertise and tireless dedication have made a lasting impact on countless farmers and colleagues throughout the region.
 
For these reasons, and many more, I wholeheartedly believe Bill Hushon is exceptionally deserving of recognition in the Precision Specialist Spotlight.
