Corteva Agriscience is using a Spot robot from Boston Dynamics to ‘walk’ between rows of corn, sunflowers and more. The robot automates sensing and inspection, and it has potential applications in field testing of both new seed and crop protection solutions with its ability to collect copious amounts of data, support the application of new crop protection discovery molecules and inspect operations.

GUSS Automation Reveals Mini GUSS Autonomous Vineyard, High-Density Orchard Sprayer

GUSS Automation has revealed its Mini GUSS autonomous vineyard and high-density orchard sprayer. Mini GUSS is 6 feet wide, 5 foot 4 inches tall and 20 feet long, has a 400-gallon tank and a 3.8-liter Cummins diesel engine, and offers two tower options: a vineyard tower for 2 row applications and an apple tower for high-density trellised orchards. The autonomous sprayer will make its debut in spring 2022.
